System edited: After some months of use I decided to write about my new aquisition: The Kimber PK 14G power cord. This cord ended in my CD player. It was there were it sounded best. One caveat, the male Schuko plug is crap. It's not a Wattgate as the American version, so I decided to change it to a Oyaide P-079e. Good choice, good match. This combination is a very balanced one, with no sins and some good attributes. Improvements were small but noticeable: bigger soudstage with better focusing and a bigger sense of ease in the most difficult passages. All of this made the music more real and enjoyable. Now my amp is lookihg for a power cord. The quest never ends.

Jdc, no I never tried that one. Maybe this vacations.
But I think that unless the digital volume is in the 0 dB atenuattion the CD will have reduced resolution. Sorry to respond so late.

Seurat,
Have you run the DP-67 through the 307 without using the 307's preamp? If so , would you comment on the difference in sound?

System edited: New rack added. After some searching I've chosse the Finite Elemente Pagode Master Reference HD 03. A good improvement in all areas. It gives an extra amount of everything we want: soundstage, air, clarity, bass and treble extension, resolution ..... Fit and finish are superb. Great engeneering and design.

Sfdude, I think that the Tempo 3 are a very nice speakers, although the lower midrange is not a premium one. The problem you describe can exist in various speakers at low volume, but I think I dont have the kind of problem you describe. Maybe it's my setup or my room. One thing I'm certain this speakers like a good amp to put them under control.
If you need more information, just ask.

Seurat, do you find your Tempo IIIs a little shy in the lower midrange area? If so, what did you do to resolve this, if anything? Thx.
