This system has been evolving for the last twenty years or more. I have been slowly working to achieve a sound that appeals to me in my room. While I don't think that I will ever find the "final system", I have chosen components that are providing long-term listening pleasure. Thanks for looking!
These solid state/tube hybrid powerhouses are a great match with the Sasha's. The bottom end is now more present and detailed.

System edited: Been spending too much money these last few years, but I've been lucky with trading up and found some great demo pieces. Added the PS Audio amps this year and the Shunyata Typhon.
System edited: I have been tweaking over the last year or so. I added the MIT cables which have created an expansive soundstage, improved low end, and increased detail. The Sophia Electric tubes also add a little more detail - subtle but pleasing!
System edited: I finally took the plunge and purchased a pair of Wilson Audio Sashas in a very dignified shade of Obsidian Black. The improvements over the Dynaudio Confidence 5's are significant. There is much more low frequency information and the soundstaging is truly amazing! Thanks again for looking!
Hi Sotaphile, I've notice you use Purist Audio Design Elementa Advance Interconnect that I am interesting in buying. Unfortunately I can't find too much info about this cable and have no chance to audition it before the purchase. I would be grateful if you could tell me more about this interconnects, what is its main sound characteristics, how is the soundstage? Thank you!
System edited: My 2008 project was to relocate the amps to separate stands for better ventilation, and install a PS Audio Soloist in the wall behind them. This also required replacing interconnects and speaker cables. I went with the Purist Audio Design Elementa Advance series for the long XLR IC runs between preamp and amps, as well as for shorter speaker cables. Major sonic upgrades throughout!
Thanks, Shadorne. I appreciate the support. I have considered acoustic treatments, but I really don't know where to start. My system is currently in our family room which is open to the kitchen. (My wife is against any serious remodeling.) Any suggestions?
I agree with Dewald. Awesome speakers - nice amp match. Crytsal clear and dynamic no doubt! I see some nice cabling and power cord tweaks....have you considered acoustic treatments yet in your ongoing & going & going project? (btw: that is a good description!!!!)
System edited: I upgraded my analog rig with the Pass Xono phono preamp and an Audioquest Leopard tonearm cable. I also replaced my Benz Micro M2 cartridge with their L2 low output MC. What a difference!
