Description

I have RS IIb I'm trying to sell here since they are huge and my wife hates them. I love older Infinity speaks and went to Modulus Is. Better resolution than the EMIMs, I was surprised to find. They get along great with my Quicksilver Mini Monos and Pinnacle Sub. My simple older VTL pre is good enough for now. The Softone CD player sounds awesome everywhere but the treble, where the sound rolls off enough to be always noticable. The Paradisea DAC solved that problem and I'm set with my digital. I really like my cheap Proton analog tuner. If I replace it, I'll get a Naim NAT03. I've had Naim systems before and love their mellow yet energetic sound.

    • Softone Model3
Japanese top loader using Philips Pro2M mounted on a 5mm steel board. A solid player. Very plain and simple.
    • MHDT Paradisea
A non-OS tubed DAC. Hand made by one builder in Taiwan. Sounds better than the processor in my $1500 CDP.
    • Project 2
I don't know for sure the model. I bought it new 10 years ago. I had the fixed wires replaced with RCA output jacks. Installed is an Audio Technica V cartridge.
    • VTL Minimal Pre Amplifier
Sweet and simple preamp with 2 line level and a phono stage. Uses two strange high gain ecc807 tubes for all inputs. Made around 1987.
    • Quicksilver MiniMite
These famous little amps do it all right for monitors or as mid-tweeter amps in a bi-amp system. Mine have chrome transformer covers, better terminals and factory LED power lights. These are keepers.
    • Infinity Modulus I
I thought my RS IIb had great resolution and speed. The Modulus beat them handily. Zero bass though, and must be used with a sub. I have piano black ones on Modulus stands. Beautiful sound and look.
    • Pinnacle Babyboomer
Baby Boomer Plus in Gloss black to match my Modulus I. Very tight sound. Sealed box using two 8
    • Home made No Model
Silver plated copper with white Teflon insulation. I have 4 pair and they have taken a veil off my sound. I hear deeper into the music and notice higher highs. I also have a pair of half-meter PBJ.
