Wow being out of it fro a little time ... well I changed the silvers for Gold's :-) .. all I can say is.. they sound amazing .. don't get me wrong the silvers were graet but the gold have a much better voice clarity and much deeper bass .. I am very happy with the change ..

Craig442 .. Yep the silvers sounded much better than the center.. almost always I listen to multichannel audio DVD's I set up to two channel instead .. but for movies it rocks .. :-)

Donw the Cary v12 sounds very open ... with WIDE sound stage that blows me away every time I hear it and it was not fussy at all.. hope that helps

I am expecting an Audible Illusions M3A in two days to go with my Counterpoint SA 220. But eventually I would like to go to an all tube amp, and the Cary v12 is often available. How does it mate with you AI? I've read that it can be fussy with some amps.

Nice System. I have the PSB Silvers and C6i in my system as well (powered by Anthem electronics). The silvers are fantastic, but I find the C6 center speaker to sound on the "boxy" side compared to the silvers. Typical voice (in the sweet spot) sounds much better without the center speaker on. Do you notice the same thing? It makes me want to buy an extra silver for the center, but of course it is too high. Any thoughts?

No,jim its like two systems with the same front speakers I could use the cary for HT also but I prefer the acurus for HT. I have an Adcom GCD-700(cd Player for tube want to change it soon for a sony SCD1 or an Electrocompaniet EMC-1)concted to an Audible Illusions M3A(pre amp for tube) conected to the cary V12 ...The rest of the system is for HT

How do you incorperate the tube amp amd SS amps intoo your system? Do you manually change form your Cary for 2-channel and back to SS for HT? Jim

well jim that's the only downside since I only have a pair of front speakers I have to manually unplug the speaker cable coming from the Cary an plug in the speaker cable coming from the Acurus.. Its not that much of a hassle really.
