I used Audioquest cv-4. If I had some solid silver wire, I would have used that.

Mitch Singerman coached me on the 834p mod. I used Hovland caps at first and then changed to V-caps and like those much better.

Tim, what brand of wire did you use in your speakers? Have you heard a difference betw. solid and stranded? I'm in the middle of rewiring mine and have been at a loss in terms of what to use.

Also, what mods did you do to your EAR?

In the basement. I have had a lot of fun with them. I was really getting burned out with audio. The mods made it much more affordable.
