CW,

I have 2 Dues as the rears. The 3.1s are not bi-ampable, in the normal sense. I drive the sub input on them using the Anthony Gallo Sub-Amp, while driving the speakers with the Arcam (front right/front left).

dvdlen

Len,

Do you have 4 Dues as the rears, or 2? If 2, do you bi-amp the 3.1s?

cwwatt

Very Impressive!

Would love to photos, including your suround setup.

The balance of the HT system is comprised of:

Denon 2900 Universal DVD Player
Anthony Gallo Reference Center speaker
Anthony Gallo Due speakers (rears)
Pioneer Elite 64" CRT RPTV

dvdlen

Dvdlen,
What does the rest of your HT system consist of?
Gallo surround? Arcam DVD?

The Arcam and the Cambridge Audio work very well together. There is a musicality to the sound of CDs played through this system that I've aspired to for years. Functionally, the integration is such that the Cambridge's remote has amplifier control functions that didn't even need to be programmed for the Arcam - it just works.

The Gallo's are everything the reviews say they are. Their biggest strength is their imaging. Phenomenal. And the integration is seamless between the drivers, helped I'm sure by the lack of a crossover between the mids and highs.
I heartily recommend that you give them a listen. The sub-amp adds a whole other dimension to the bass frequencies.

Incidentally, you have a very fine system. I really love you choice of neutral equipment.

How is the synergy between Arcam and Cambridge?

I remember years ago Galo getting a lot of press. I'd like new speakers, so what is there sonic signature of the Galo's to see if they would be a good fit for me.

I use it for both, but figured I'd just list the 2-channel section on Audiogon, as that's what I use for 93% of my audio listening.

dvdlen

Are you using your Arcam multichannel receiver for 2 channel only, or did you intentionally omit the HT section.
