Description

My venture into the world of hi-fi equipment have been nothing short of amazing. My first setup was a pair of Magnaplanar MG1s, a Crown IC150 preamp, Crown PS400 amp, with a pair of JBL Northridge subs that I purchased from a local resident. From there it was onto Tandberg 3000 series gear and my first pair of B&Ws, the 683. While I adored Tandberg it wasnt as reliable as I wouldve hoped although I did my best to source the cleanest units. After selling my Tandberg gear and 683s I ended up with what I have now. My current setup is a McCormack ALD-1 dlx preamp, Rotel RB1092 amp, Wadia iTransport, and B&W 804s speakers. In the future I hope to sell the Rotel and acquire a pair of monoblocks. Im working on getting a smaller rack since I dont have nearly the volume of pieces that I did with the Tandberg. Next steps would be to acquire a nice SACD player, turntable, and perform upgrades to the ALD-1 as I find it to be an exceptional preamp. I welcome any comments as well as suggestions. Thanks

I upgraded from a rotel amp to a McCormack Dna 1 revision A amplifier and have never looked back. Definitely look for an upgraded model as people that have listened to my system were suprised at how nice the upgraded amp sounded. If your room is small the .5 model would suffice.
