Ive gone full circle in the past 5 years....The only constant has been B&W speakers but different models, 640i to cdm 1nt, to cdm-9nt,Bounced back and forth between Krell, McCormack, Counterpoint,Dynaco,Theta,Proceed with various Amps/preamps/Dacs and pre/pros,Almost seems like I wasted time and money, but I learned quite a bit so I should have no need to change/upgrade.....Well maybe a different turntable & cartridge....speakers......dvd player.....tuner.....Ah here I go again :)
Hello there is a used Mccormack DAC 1 on audigon for 300.00. Is this a good DAc. It seems to be out for a long time. How do you like yours? Would it improve the sound of my cheap 200.00 Onkyo 6 disk Cd player, or would i be wasting my money. Any info would help. Regards Ken
Oneaudio007 Nice system you have there. I liked the video you have on Youtube, shows off your system well. I take it with the different amp/preamp manufacturers you tried you wound up liking the McCormack/B&W combo the best. One of the things I like about this hobby is learning all the different things that effect your system and setup while trying to obtain musical bliss. I'm in the process of rebuilding mine since the mover's "lost" several pieces of my equipment during my temporary move to Canada. Will update my system posting as soon as I get everything back in order.
