Devilboy: The Tannoys are anything but laid back. PRAT and detail galore. My only gripe is the midrange. After Soundlab, Quad 63 and the Maggie 1.6 I am spoiled. I intend to try biamping in the future to help. I am hoping the midrange damping I get from loosing the crossover will help the mids. They are crossed over at 1.1K. Have you tried running direct to amp skipping the Bent? I have a Tap, and prefer it straight in. I never thought I'd say that...
Very nice 4est. We have similar tastes. My Mini is feeding my Minerva via firewire. I LOVE Atma-sphere amps too. They were part of my original plan but long story short, I now have Kora Jupiters. How do you like the Tannoy's to the Maggies? Are the Tannoy's more laid back and natural as opposed to the detailed Maggies? Just wondering.
