Description

My musical tastes run from classical (large and small scale) to jazz to folk music, and I have enjoyed tube audio systems for a long time.

This system, I hope (all these pieces are coming soon but not yet all here), will give me the fleshed out sound of tubes without being overly bloomy and muddy. The Coincidents are very accurate and efficient, and work well with Atma-Sphere OTLs. The McCormack: I might use it to bi-amp if I feel the bass could use some boost, but my room is pretty small (@14 X 14) so I don't think I need it.

Eventually I might want better sources and go to a DAC, and then the Sony would be a good transport.

The two Marantz players are from previous system iterations. DR-17 is an excellent player but Sony has SACD. I will keep either DR-17 or 63SE for a possible second system with McCormack and sell the other.
