Slowly getting the system up to speed. Living in Saudi doesn't help matters with the lack of high-end audio stores nearby. The Verity's by far are the best speakers I've ever owned. Now that I have great speakers I'll slowly upgrade the system around them. Power conditioner and DAC are soon to come.
Hey Matt...I have the Shunyata Hydra 8 (version I not II), and it made a big difference in my system. Delivered blacker background and lower noise floor, enhancing resolution and ability to hear into the musical presentation. I think a used Hydra 8 might be worth checking out. If it does not deliver meaningful improvement you can always turn around and sell it, as these units generally hold their value pretty well. COYS!
