Both sound excellent, but it has been hard for me to really describe the differences in the room I was in.
I am remodeling my home to include a dedicated room for audio. In fact I am hoping the group can advise me on acoustic characteristics to avoid and to include.
I am planning on carpet and possibly oriental type carpeting on the walls. The room is huge 18x18 with 9 foot ceilings which I can have built either higher or lower.

How does the 845 carissa amp differ from the jadis amplifier you have ?
Have you tried both of them with the Audio Note speakers you were building some time back ?

I would appreciate to hear some details of how both worked (and differed from each other) using the AN speakers.

I share your opinion toward SET amplifiers. I used to pay heed to all the stereotypical(mis-informed) comments about them. After 2 years of listening to my SET based system, IMO they provide the highest level of realism and natural sound I`ve heard thus far.

Thank you. I am so happy that I finally heard Audio Note. The dac made a huge improvement in a system that I already loved. I wish I discovered SET amplification a long time ago also.
