    • Audio Analogue Maestro Setantta Rev. 2
A SET sounding, and powerful 70 watt amp that is the best that I have heard. It has a large soundstage and incredible grunt in the low end. The mids and highs are just to die for. It is a downright pleasure to use and listen to. Google out the reviews and prepare to be stunned.
    • Reference 3A DeCapo BE
Simply the best I have had the pleasure to own or hear. Just addicting
    • McIntosh MR-78
    The best.... Period.
    • Jolida JD 100-a
Really a musical CDp. Perhaps that's an oxymoron, but this thing has a bit of the Analogue Soul that is sooo missing in many (even upper crust) CDPs. Two sets of analogue outs, plus a RCA digital. I use re-issue Mullard: 12ax7 Tubes (2)
    • Nakamichi MR-1
This deck stuns me every time I use it. I could listen to it all night, and sometimes do. If you think a cassette deck can't do brushes on cymbals, just try the MR-1
    • Jolida Glass FX Tube Dac 2
Open and smooth.. Does what tubes that you choose want it to do. Very well built with premium, parts.
    • Skylan Four post...dedicated for DeCapos
I feel that Skylans don't ring like Sound Anchor and some others. These stands just let the DeCapos stand in a silent space.
    • Apple Apple TV Internet streamer
One hundred bucks gets you tunes all day and night for nothing. Best deal in Audio. I listen to WWNO HD3 for Jazz that is CD quality. Hundreds of stations to choose from.. Plus video ! Couldn't get rid of XM Radio fast enough. It has a Toslink out to use with my TUBE Dac. Pure bliss.
    • Nakamichi CR-2a
Another Nakamichi . Just great for doing tape to tape Xfers to the Nakamichi MR-1. Just a two head, but a very musical machine. ... Nicely Analogue !!
    • McIntosh Dirty 1a
    SLUG-ish
    • Origin live Resolution modern
Beautiful deck.. Both in music and looks. This one has the upgrade DC200 mother and control box. A real piece of work
    • AKG K701
Wonderful set of cans... I also use a little Creek OBH 11 with them. You can listen for long periods of time without fatigue...
    • Empirical Audio Synch Mesh
    A rogue Re-Clocker. A
    • Origin Live Illustrious
This arm could pick the snot out of a sleeping amoeba's nose... And still leave it in its dreams. I feel as though I am dreaming too, every time I use it. A sure masterpiece of thought, engineering and application.
    • Creek OBH-11
A great little bundle of sonic wonder. This is the new and upgraded version, with the prettier face and on/off switch. You forget all that just as soon as you hear the sound. No, it won't drive a pair of Apogee Scintillas, but it leaves nothing to be wanted playing my AKG K701,s.
    • Grado Reference series Platinum 1
Musical-musical-musical. Not much left to say. It's Musical. It takes the music out of the grooves and slaps you about the ears with it. Is a 2500.00 tonearm overrated for this 350.00 wooden bodied cartridge ? Not in th

Seikosha ..

You spotted the Achilles heel right away. Our living/listening room is quite small.. At least in some ways. Being pack rats for all kinds of goofy things doesn't help maters much either. For critical listening, I pull the speakers out about to where the rug is. I have posted a current picture and it shows that the Jolida tube amp went away to make someone else happy. In its place is a Origin Live Table with an Origin Live arm. The port is now 12 inches away from the arm in its resting position. There is no option. I must pull the speakers out, critical listening or not. Dilemma's... Dilemma's !
You have yourself a pretty nice system as well. I want to try a DecWare as soon as I recover from the expense of the Origin table and arm... Not cheap ! .... But they are worth it.

Mapman,

You are so right about the conditioner. That is all that is plugged in the thing is the digital gear. I tried it with my amp, but my bass disappeared into the sunset. It is just fine for all my digital baggage as well.

If not tried for comparison already, might be worth trying the power conditioner with your source level gear, like DAC, etc. and see if any difference.

Definitely not a good idea to use it with devices that tend to draw a lot of power and current, like the integrated amp.

I have a much more modest Monster PC on my digital source devices and pre-amp and I could tell a nice difference with even that in my case in terms of better detail and clarity.

Each persons power scenario is different though, so its one area where YMMV for sure.

Thanks for the compliment, Pete. Your speakers are in the bedroom (SP-301's). Some of best all around speakers that I have ever Had, even if they are a bit hard to Cary and vacuum around. I actually keep my dots and what rocks that I have in my pants pockets.. I Feel that they may help matters there.. Perhaps a more upward motivation in my low end.

Mapman....
The Jolida is now history. A great little amp. I actually think that the 202 is the Crown Jewel of Jolidas line. You can notice right off that it is of different build criteria than the rest of their amps. Works very well with many speakers. The Magic Box that it is sitting on is a Monster 3600 line conditioner. It was a gift, more or less. It looks pretty and tells me the voltage, but is is really just another King without Clothes folly that makes me look like a REAL Audiophile. Making ten sockets out of one tells me that I may be explaining things or my insurance agent some cold night. It does make a nice place for my cat to sleep on. She just couldn't get comfortable laying over the Jolida.

I will try to get the system edited today.

I can't help but wonder if the fact that the Speaker's port is blowing low frequency energy directly at those tubes that you might be compromising your sound a little.

That said, I bet your setup sounds nice. I'd love a chance to hear those speakers. They've intrigued me for awhile.

seikosha

Sweet.

WHat's the gadget the Jolida tube amp is sitting on?

Just wondering if some physical separation between the two if possible might yield even further positive results.

mapman

Don't see any Magic pebbles here either :-)

Nice looking and I bet nice sounding too, congratulations on it.

Good Listening
