Thank you Dan. Believe it or not that plinth is a 5 ply per sheet, 5 sheet laminated together of birch ply. Cutout for the deck is CNC machined. ( I purchased it raw for $250.00 plus shipping on eBay ). I sanded it and stained it and bored the pocket for the bubble level, spot faced 4 pockets on bottom and I use audio techna adjustable feet. I made the armboard out of black delrin I got from work.

Madranker,

I can really relate to your system, your Garrard 401 is a thing of beauty. Can you tell us who built the plinth? (I also have a 401).

I would love to hear it with the Reed tonearm, as opposed to mine, with a Dynavector 501 arm.

Congratulations on a fine system, enjoy.

Regards,
Dan
