This system in my living room is always under construction as it's the last one to be implemented. I'm still toying with the idea of perhaps going for another pair of Maggies in place of the Vandy's but constantly moving the Vandersteens around, changing cables, etc to squeeze more performance out of them. Since I have Maggie's in another system, they have become my reference and I always am trying to get the Vandersteens to do what the Maggie's do with ease. I have them sounding really good and most people cannot find fault with them. Apples and Oranges I guess and I'm so lucky to be able to go back and forth between systems. Still it's fun to change things and tweak. Also the amp situation is interesting. The Bryston and Red Dragons are 2 very different beasts. Bryston's have more top end energy and Dragons bigger smoother but need the SCE HRS interface to help with the low input impedance of 10K which is not good for the ARC Tube Preamp. I keep it in even with the Bryson which is 50K. The Vandersteen's throw a huge sound stage, image and disappear like crazy, with full powerful bass. However the purity and transparency of Magnepan's is so captivating!!! FUN
