Description

This system is the result of many prior systems over a period of 40 plus years. Realism has finally been achieved. Two products are chiefly responsible. One is the High Fidelity cables and the other is the Tripoint Troy Signature and their Thor SE grounding cables.

I doubt if I will add anything more, but I know better than ever saying never.

You're system looks "Steampunk-ish".

Hi Norm, I had a great time this weekend. The system is just addicting.
Sound staging, lingering individual decay notes, ambience around each instrument redefine the meaning of realism. Not to forget true instrument timbre, and the new added tonal shades. Congratulations at the highest level. Thanks for all your hospitality and a unforgettable experience. If only this realism was to be found 20 years sooner.

I do have to double click on them to be big pictures.

Hmm maybe something on my end.

I had the same problem with my vs until I republished. Pics were there but not displaying. I am on an iPad using chrome maybe that has something to do with it.

Mapman, still no problem here or with two other whom I asked to try it.

tbg

My system pics vanished from Forum display the exact same time yours did shortly after you published it a week or so back, so I think the same bug bit us both and perhaps some other user virtual systems as well that I see listed via Forums..

mapman

Hmm, I do not see your system level pictures being displayed, rather a text listing of items that the system seems to display in lieu of system pics. I had the same problem a week or two back. Republishing the system in virtual systems restored the dusplay of system level pics. You don't have to add or change anything and can select to add a comment or not just republish it as is using the agon virtual system builder web app. Takes a split second to do and allows others to see all the pics you have attached to your virtual system. It looks to be a bug in teh agon virtual systems application. I notified them and they are investigating but the republish is the workaround when it occurs in teh interim it seems.

Mapman, everything seems fine.

TBg, your system pics are no longer showing. I had the same problem. I republished it using the agon virtual system tools and that fixed it. A glitch in the agon virtual system software apparently.

Mribob, thanks for the kind comments. What would you like pictures of or in proper English, Of what would you like pictures?,

I looked at your pictures and read your system and experience. I have 25 years more experience in audio, but have been down many of the same paths as you. Until we bought the present house we live in my rooms have been awful. The last had a fire place right behind my listening position and a kitchen right beside that. The previous one was either in our master bedroom or later in the basement, but fortunately that location was only for two years.

I have been quite surprised that the BMC Arcadias and M2 amps haven't taken off. I suspect it is the China Syndrome, that build quality and parts are poor but those are both incorrect.

Incidentally, I didn't think that the Arcadias really were well done at the Newport show.

tbg

I heard your speakers at THE Newport showed, and loved them. then I rapped my knuckles on their rigid cabinets, and it caused pain-so well constructed. Their external crossovers are well designed. Kudos to assembling an awesome system, using great blend of power conditioning, grounding, isolation, and DSD digital front end. I'm jealous, and would be happy to have all your gear in my house. It must be hard to power down and walk away! Photos, please

Linkster, Perhaps in current injection mode is better but the DAC 1, pre is not all that good, IMHO. The balanced input is good also, but with the HFCs I get clearly the best sound both with the Koda and with the Exemplar XP-2.

tbg

Norm, curious that you held onto the M2's in that I
understood that their best performance is in current injection mode which is only possible with the BMC front end, or am I off based here?

linkster

Beautiful system....heard some of the BMC gear a couple years ago and was very impressed! Happy Listening!!!

Charles1dad, yes, I didn't like the Dac1 Pre but also it is really set up to use their transport plus one other input. Plus the Exemplar XP=2 was far superior. The Koda is the only preamp that I've found better than theXP-2. Yes, I'm very happy with my music reproduction.
Thanks for the comments.

tbg

Tbg,
Very nice and well coordinated system set up. I take it that the Robert Koda out performed the BMC preamp even in the presence of BMC amp and speakers. I can believe this system brings you pure listening joy.
Charles,

Tbg, Congrats 40 years of pursuit has paid off.
