The Diablos are a significant step up from any of the Scalas including the 3. With well integrated subwoofers you're getting 90+% of the bigger Utopias.
It wasn't until I purchased my Magico S5's that I realized there was still more to come. That being said, the Diablo are amongst the very best stand-mount speakers at any price. You will benefit form a pair of subs if you can.
Hi I have a question. Hopefully you have an answer. Do you think the diablos are better than the scala. I have a rel no.25 so bass will not be a problem. Thx
The Devialet is just spectacular - I've yet to hear better. It's completely seamless through ROON with my iPad controlling. The sound like the reviews say is utterly 'clean', solid and so natural. Definitely no excess 'bloom' or softness.
Next plan is a pair of JL Audio Fathom subwoofer and then adding another D200 to make it a D400.
