I'm done with high-end. Quite content to settle with mid-fi for casual listening in the living room. Simple set up that sounds quite good.

nicflight, surprisingly well. I've only had the Saga for a few days but it's added body and depth to the sound. I'm waiting on an RCA 5692 Red Base to replace the stock tube. In all fairness the stock tube sounds pretty good so it can only get better with a superior tube.

I have been looking at the Saga/Vidar combo.  How has that pair worked out for you?  Anything you would do differently?

My Dynaudio Special 40s arrived today. Straight out of the box they sound fantastic. Anxious to get a couple hundred hours on them. Thinking of going with a Swissonor RS Class A-AB integrated amplifier. Should be a great match.

Experimenting with a Luminous Audio Axiom II passive preamp with the 48 step Walker Mod.

Changing out the Audion Super Sterling 120 for a PS Audio Stellar Gain Cell / PS Audio Stellar S300 Amplifier combo for a while just for the hell of it. I will undoubtedly go back to the Audion but sometimes a change is needed.

Nice way to add a music system to your family room. Nice simple solution, excellent equipment and great look.

Swapped out the Omegas for Dynaudio Excite X14s.

Thanks jond. Until I'm able to reclaim my man cave this will have to do. Sounds surprisingly good all things considered. The Omegas are still not broken in and are sounding better all the time.

Gorgeous room! But very tough for an audio system, looks like you've done as well as you can within WAF constraints, well done!
