I am fairly new around here and don't know how to contact you via a PM, so I am using this comment box to tell you how pleased I was to see your acknowledgment of Jim Foley in the Arnie Nudell obituary thread. I was a grad student at Rutgers from 1970-1973 and spent half my life at Hifi Haven (the other half in the Corner Tavern just up the street). Stan, Jerry, and Jim were kind, passionate, and great fun, and hearing Jim's Servo-Statiks was definitely a defining moment in this budding audiophile's life! Thanks for bringing me back there even for just a moment.

Beautiful system,...many years ago, my father owned a pair of RS4s and I had a pair of RS7s.  We really enjoyed them at the time (early 80s) and I always dreamed of the RS1b's, the IRS Epsilon and the IRS V's.  You must be very happy with your system....Happy Holidays!

great speakers! would love to hear them someday...enjoy!

RWD, tell us a bit about your journey. The choice of the speakers is obvious (any changes/mods?) but did you always bi amped them with tube + SS? No mention about power conditioning and isolation, maybe worth a try?

Wow!
Sweet looking system.
I'd love to give it a listen to.

What a warm room and a cool system.

Dear RWD: Where is your TT? I can't see it.

Skeptica11....good comments and observation. The system is quite dynamic and powerful. I believe it can still hold it's own against some of todays speakers.
My listening room is fine size-wize. It is approx 26' x 16' but the speakers are pushed into the area you see above because of the frount door.

rwd

Well,I'd like to know how you would describe the sound.I bet dynamic would be one term that would apply.Do you find yourself wishing for a bigger listening room.
Again,very cool setup.
