Started building the system in May 2007 when I bought the ASL Hurricanes & Martin Logan Prodigies. Other then those 2 mentioned, everything else has evolved at a fast pace to what its now.
I am very happy with the way the system sounds specially after adding the ASL Flora preamp. It sounds definitely very nice- dynamic yet not hatrsh. very transparent & smooth.great soundstage.
The prodigies are biamped (passive) - Hurricanes running the stats and Crown K2 driving the woofers.
Tubes are absolute necessity with Electrostats. If the amplifier is SS, the pre needs to be tube. I have tubes in both pre and power amps. As the speakers are so revealing that it sounds metallic and harsh with an all Solid State system.
