Description

This is called my "2nd Go-Around" because I'm re-doing the whole room and much of the system after a fire in the Man Cave. I'm still re-building the system. Right now I have lots of ways to compare the sound of configurations; switching between tube and SS amp, horn and electrostatic speakers, and three DACs.

As you can see, I re-created the shutter wall that covers the silver insulation tacked to the cinder block (and yes, there are lights behind the shutters, again). Because it's a basement I wanted to avoid water absorbing materials, I covered the walls with the white back-side of used billboard vinyl that is simply hanging from the ceiling. The ceiling is not a solid flat surface, but has holes going up to rock wool and joists. All of this means the room is the opposite of being 'live'.

Sorry to hear about your fire but great looking system! Those are some big badass looking amps and cool speakers. And nice job on the shutter wall!
