Description

This is the culmination of my 1 year entrance to higher-end audio. I'm extremely pleased with what I've been able to assemble. For what I paid(all used), I don't think you can assemble a system much better. Total cost just over $3,000!!!

    • Odyssey Audio Stratos
Cap upgraded. It really has the power and sweet sound I was looking for. All the hype is true!
    • Odyssey Audio Tempest
This is a great piece that was added last. It brought out the emotion of the music that was sorely missing.
    • Cambridge Audio D-500
SE version. A nice sounding player, but I think I'd like to try out a tubed CDP next
    • Odyssey Audio Nightingales
I was amazed at the sound these could produce. They replaced Studio 60s v2 and what a difference I heard. Great mid-range and surprisingly good low-end. I love'em
    • Dayton Titanic 10
I bought it used in a package deal and was going to sell it but my preamp had a second pair of outs so I connected it. From what I can tell not bad. I really don't need it but for the occasional 2-channel movie it helps add some slam.
    • Groneberg Series 3
Recommended by Odyssey. They keep the synergy going. I'd like to upgrade to the Quattro next
    • Groneberg Quattro
Again recommended by Odyssey. This cabling is used throughout the internals of their pre-amps and amps.
    • Signal Magic Power
I use the digital magic on my CDP and the regular magic on my amp and preamp. Great value!
    • Toshiba SD-1600
It was a gift when DVP first got inexpensive. I would like to replace it with a universal changer.
    • Yamaha CDC-645
It's old and only used for background music. Plan on replacing it with an inexpensive universal changer. Any suggestion in the sub-$200 range?

Klaus and his Odyssey line are among the bright, shimmering stars in high end audio, in my opinion. No surprise whatsoever that you're pleased as can be.

Nice system! Another system based around Klaus Bunge's Odyssey. The stuff must be quality, especially for the money.
I noted in another post that you upgraded your cd player. What did you go with?

Reading the Odyssey while listening to your tunes, is your next logical step....
