Description

There has been many changes in this system and it is near completion. My only planned changes are the possibility of a Levinson Preamp and Balanced cables. The strengths of this system are: ZERO noise floor at any volume level. It is quite amazing how the power cords, AQ cables and RGPC400 quiet this to zero! The imaging is fantastic, close your eyes and the speakers absolutely dissapear.

Detail resolution and air around instruments.

If i were to critique anything i would have to say Bass integration is frustrating as i seem to constantly be fiddling with bass volume controls. I would love advice on this one, and maybe a switch to a REL Storm might cure what i am missing? AS ALWAYS, THANKS FOR VIEWING MY NEWEST SYSTEM. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MAKE ANY COMMENTS! I truly hope you have/had as much fun building your system as I did and do. It has truly been a labor of love and hearing the incremental improvements is always pure joy.

I find myself losing hours at times listening. This is a completely non fatiguing system and just a joy every time i turn it on. THANKS AGAIN!

Hi Mr. "Fast",

Nice system. I had B&W's for many years, some DM 620's, and they were pretty darn good speakers. The 805's are very good as well, and really image great. I wound up going to Dynaudio, then decided to go back to Tannoy. I'm using vintage HPD 315's, (12") Dual Concentric drivers in custom cabs with custom crossovers. I almost never use the 12" Velodyne sub anymore, except for the occaisional movie.

My room is rather large, about 16x36, (kitchen, dining, and living room all combined in one wing of the house, with the living room area cathedral ceiling). The Tannoys have no problem pressurizing this large area with a generous supply of clean bass.

I live on Whidbey Island, and have visited Magnolia several times over the years, but did most of my business with the store in Everett. Shoot me a line if you want a listen, extra ears are always welcome.

Regards,
Dan

Hey Gregory!!!!!
This is Geoff, your "old" salesman from Magnolia. Your system looks and I'm sure sounds incredible. Hope all is well.... glad to see you still tweaking your system. And, by the way, you will NEVER be done! Neither will most of us, that's part of the fun......

Great system!

Ever try le Panier French bakery at Pike's Market? To die for Brioche and coffee. A must when in Seattle.
