Description

Starting with the Boulder 866, I've put together a simple system based mostly on playback of CDs using the Pro-Ject CD Box RS2 T into the 866's DAC, and occasionally streaming direct from phones, etc.

As the pic suggests, my room is not dedicated to audio.  Far from it.  Thus far, room treatments are limited to carpet, paintings, blinds, furniture and bodies.

Cheers!

Hey earlflynn, Thanks!  I'm very happy with the LSA-10s.  When I wrote the original description, I'd been struggling to recapture some the qualities I recalled from an older system.  A good friend stopped by last week and suggested that removing the packing film protecting the tweeters might help.  (Walter, who sold me the speakers, really enjoyed that story.)  So the system sounds much better now.  To my ear the LSA-10s do a better job of reproducing bass than most bookshelves and the mid range and top end are sweet.  Also, they seem accurate to me (not a lot of bloom or boom); they do not bog down during demanding passages.  I just installed a Pro-ject CD Box RS2 T, as a transport in place of the Oppo 105, so everything is still adjusting.  Yesterday, alone in the house, I was playing Moving Pictures, One Size Fits All and the like.  Today, with my family here, I'm listening to KD Lang, Ingenue.  All of it sounds wonderful.  Cheers!
