I remember you. You are that super arrogant guy who has insulted at least 2 fellow audiophiles I know. First time you were kindly invited to a guys home in Dearborn where you insulted him an his system. You said something like "Ehh...it's ok, kind of bright" Guy had one of the smoothest systems I've ever listened too. He's also forgotten far more about this stuff than you will ever know... Then you kept bragging about your Krell and Martin Logan stuff lolololol. Talk about BRIGHT and a bad combo! We (several of us) still laugh at you when we get together.
Roger Busby lol, the name just makes us laugh.

Radrog, based on some of your posts in other threads, it sounds like you've recently been implementing some upgrades to your analog rig. I know you have mentioned the Clearaudio Goldfinger cartridge, and I wondering what is the full scope of the upgrades? Have you changed your phono stage, or are you using the Krell with the Clearaudio cartidge? Will you be updating your virtual system and posting some pictures?

Cheers and happy listening!

Radrog, if your system sounds good to you then thats great! I have no idea what your budget is, so who am I to say what you should change. If you decide to go for tubes in the future, listen to as many amps as you can. I have heard these amps with ML Odyssey:VAC's 30/30 300B, Jolida JD 3000a 200watt monos, Viva's Linea 45 linestage preamp with 300B power supply and Sonic Fronteers Line-2 preamp, GRAAF's GM20 OTL[I know, it's only 20 watts per channel]. All I can say is Martin Logan's sound totally different with these amps than any other I heard. The Jolida's have the most bass and punch Iv'e ever heard from any amp and are only $4,900 the pair! The sound is very dynamic and pure, I never really liked any electrostatics until I heard this demo, there is just something about tubes and stats that work well together especially after long periods of listening, the longer tubes are on the better warmer they sound. I would always listen first and decide for yourself but if your a big music lover you will get hooked on the glow!

I've owned several ML's and used SS amps with them. A tube preamp is a MUST, I'd recommend Balanced Audio Technology.
