Description

Just got the A21+'s and the Bel Canto DAC in January 22. Still breaking in. Got the Node 2I after both Arcam players I had quit last year. The DAC in the Node is not very good, hence the Bel Canto.  Finished walkout basement listening room is approx. 30' x 60' and irregular in shape with a 45 degree wall where the system is. Speakers are 4 1/2' from the 45 degree back wall, 4 1/2' from the two sidewalls and 7' from the listening position. Sub is against a sidewall to the right of the space. Covered the glass doors and the windows with thick blackout drapes and added foam/fiberglass panels to a first reflection wall.

So far it all sounds pretty good but, after some time I will play with speaker position, crossover settings, and the individual channel gain settings with the A21+'s to try to get the best balance.

Musical tastes are all over the map. 70's rock/psychedelic (Dead, Neil Young etc.), 80's alternative/progressive (U2, REM etc.), from then on, a combination of all of them with a little traditional style country thrown in.
