The Magnepan MG 20.7 is the second to the top-of-the-line 30.7, and is the largest one-piece speaker in Magnepan's current lineup. It is big (29 x 79 x 2.5") and reasonably heavy (350 lbs is Magnepan's weight for shipping, including both speakers and, I believe, a wooden crate). That size, however, is for a reason: these are planar speakers, and the larger the planar woofer area, the more impact it will have (that being said, the weight is distributed nicely, and they are relatively easy to "walk" around the room...and  Magnepan provides nicely turned wooden handles which can be screwed into the back of the speaker to facilitate this process). This size is for a good reason: these speakers readily reproduce the foundation of music, giving it a weight that is delightful to hear. As a dipolar speaker, they are going to need some space behind them to truly bloom: somewhere from 3 to 6 or 7 feet out from the front wall, depending upon your room size. Once placed (they seem to be less fussy than other speakers I've used), the resultant soundstage is uncanny: voices hang in air, and a piano sounds far more life-sized than anything else I've tried.
The speakers were purchased in the late summer of 2021, and I am the original owner. They are immaculate, and I have all boxes/packing/manual/etc.I have replaced the fuses with upgraded 'Audiophile" types, which seemed to make some small difference, and I will supply some upgraded jumpers if you wish (Cardas, I believe). The pictured Nordost Ref jumpers I will keep, for use on other speakers. I liked those the best in the end, as I use Nordost speaker cable.
The one thing I don't have is the original crate, as the dealer did not save it. Instead I have constructed my own crate, with casters for convenience (see pictures in ad). It is solid, and all sides will protect the inner Maggie boxes with 1/2" foam inside the plywood paneling. I am happy to deal with local pickup or I can drive perhaps half way if you are within a few hundred miles-Seattle to the North, or Eugene or Medford to the South (I live in the Portland, OR area). These are fabulous speakers, and I hope they find a good home...I'm going to miss them! One last thing-Magnepan's connectors are solid, but are not designed for spade lugs. You will need adapters if your cables are so terminated. Shipping is to the lower 48.
I accept payment via Paypal, certified check after it clears, or cash in hand. If you would prefer a credit card, I believe that can be handled. There is also a wire transfer if so desired, but in general Paypal (friends and fam) seems the safest and best way.I am a long-time Audiogon user, going back to paper newsletter days, and I believe my positive feedback speaks to my trustworthiness. Price reduced 5/17/2024. Shipping is capped at $300, I will pick up the rest, Ground, lower 48.

Questions for the seller
These are great speakers. May I ask why you are selling them after only 3 years?
Regrettably my wife never liked the sheer size of them, which didn't bother me but evidently did her. In order to keep peace I moved them down to this rather small room, which just didn't work out as well (12 x 16). My misfortune is someone else's gain!
