Components Toggle details

    • Focal Cobalt 816 speakers
Over 20 years old, back when Focal was known as JMLabs.
    • Not sure In-ceiling speaker
Speaker for master bath.  Now have it on “B” switch of Rotel.  Way more elegant than my prior solution, where I had Focals driven by Audio Refinement integrated and bathroom speaker on separate Roon endpoint with a sonos amp.
    • iFi Audio Zen Stream
    Roon endpoint (wifi).
    • IFi Zen Signature DAC v2
    Burr Brown DSD1793
    • Rotel A11 Tribute integrated amp
Nice sounding budget amp, with old school feature:  can run two sets of speakers (A/B)!

sorry you missed, a lot of good rooms (IMO, of course).  But no, I was talking about the Vu, not AN, rooms.  Last year his room featured some awful speakers as jets driven by Synthesis gear (which I like).  Are AN, I note that you, like me, do not have your ANs in corners.  The AN people always give me a tough time about that, but I’m willing to give up a little low end extension for improved soundstage and livability.  You?

Thanks!  Were you at CAF this year?  Vu’s room was quite good (much better than last year, not sure what happened there).  Other faves included Cessaro horns, and the Rethm/Western Electric room.

Thanks.  Yes, am very pleased with the Rotel.  Was considering an NAD C368 all-in-one streaming amp for convenience, but would have bricked my existing dac/streamer combo, and am still skeptical of class d, particularly at budget end.
