Description

This is my media room system.  I am using a Pioneer SC-95 for the 4K and processing and the Rotel amp to drive the speakers.

I have moved my B&W 805’s to use on my computer system with another receiver and a Polk subwoofer.  There is a Yamaha RX-A1000 driving them.  I then took my Mirage FRx-5 and used them for the rears on the main system.  You can’t compare them but I listen to music so much more while sitting at the computer that it was worth it.

I have been playing with REW to try and tone both systems.

Thanks for looking.  Let me know your thoughts and questions.

Thanks! Do you have any info on modding the CD/DVD player? I did a quick search and didn’t really find anything. Not sure I would want to touch my B&W speakers. That would not be easy. I know my processor is limiting me with its fixed 100 MHz crossover with the speakers set to small. That is one reason I want to replace it.

Agenttaylor,

Very nice system you've put together. Modding your CD/DVD player with better caps, diodes, power supply tweak and dampening would yield some great results. Also upgrading the speaker crossover networks would make your speakers sound even better.
