Description

though I left MN gladly, more and more pieces of this stereo are made in and around the Twin Cities... the combination of the planar speakers with the anticables works extremely well, and the amp was a significant upgrade for me. goals for this system: resolution and detail, especially for voice and strings in classical music, without giving up attack and bass for jazz. next up: better sources (although I am happy with the hard-drive input for now) and a nicer shelf.

Hi Melomaniac,

Nice simple system you've got there.

Thinking of going with BelCanto's in my living room as well. I've heard that the BC's have enough oomph to drive the MG's - was this the main reason for choosing this particular amp? Did you try or hear any other UcD or ICE amps? If so, how did they stack up to the BC.

Last question - what amp did you have before this one?

Just noticed that you've got the "u" model - nice with the DAC and I/A all in one box.

Merry Christmas,
Garry
