Just added a Placette Passive Linestage and its great! I also got some new Transparent Ultra and Supper MM2 cables. Still breaking them in. I have a new CD Transport and DAC. I think I want to get a EMM CD Player.
Thanks for taking time to view my system: Pax Cubiculum. I expect that like you, I've been very happy with Revel M20s. Have heard much about their new M22s. I expect to keep the M20s with me for a few more years before I am stricken with upgrade bug. I previously mated a tube pre-amp (Manley Shrimp) to solid-state amp (Aleph Volksamp 30--Pure class A)--worked fine except that the Revels needed bit more more power. I have always felt that that an impedance-matching tubed preamp is a good partner for solid-state amp. I have tried passive preamp (Creek OBH-14), which I didn't think worked as well as tubed preamp.
