Description

See my previous system. Titled. Avalon, SME, Air Tight. After a long serious illness I slowly began changing out components. I still regret selling the SME and the Avalons but had no choice. I have been rebuilding the system for about three years. I restarted the system with the purchase of a 300b SET. I just fell in love with the sound despite the power limitations. My old air Tight ATM2 had 80 watts per channel. The 300B could not drive the Avalons. The Piegas were the best I could find that could be driven by 8 watts. The Wavestream line stage is up there with the best available regardless of price. It is far superior to the Air Tight line stage I was using, much more neutral and musical. The P9 is a compromise but the Koetsu brings up the performance. The surprise of the system is the Ayon CD player. This little known company makes a wonderful player. It beat the Ayre hands down. The Nordost cable is substantially better than the Harmonic Tech I was using before. The Whest is a great value but it is no longer available. The replacement for it just doesn't measure up. Samuelg,
You have quite a nice system, I imagine it`s very natural and has great tonality.I`d love to hear the Airtight and Wavestream pairing.
