This was my first system upgrade since 1985. I got rid of all of my separates (Luxman Duo Beta Pre/ Dual Mono Amps). This system is extremely high resolution and I can listen to it for hours on end. I recently purchased an Exactpower EP-15 power conditioner.

I'm still having a hard time admitting that digital can actually sound this good, but it is within spitting range of my analog rig.

For some reason, the French designers/manufacturers (Yves Bernard Andre/Pierre Lurne) focus a lot of attention to RESOLVING music. The equipment is so transparent, it never draws attention to itself. Music becomes totally relaxing, natural, and satin smooth. It really is a different level of listening. The system allows the music to reach inside and grasp your inner emotion. Emotions that for me, could only be attained when physically playing the music (improvisational jazz piano). With certain musical performances, my eyes tear, the hair stands up on my arms, and chills run up my spine. The system? You don't even know it's there, it's just the music. I could not be happier, and will probably own this system for another 20 year period.
