Mattheus, cables arrived here today. Thank you for packing them well and for returning them quickly.

I wish you the best in your cable pursuits !

Just so everyone knows, I sent a parcel to Renaat, containing a 1.5 meter Opis Speaker cable and a 1 meter Venustas with no deposit.

Renaat paid only shipping to Belgium.

I have confidence he will find them as pleasing as I do.

albertporter

Your welcome Renaat.

Just listen to the music and hopefully you will find Purist as pleasing as I have. If not, you had the enjoyment of trying something new.

Mattheus, Opis is a cable originally intended for Japan.

Due to marketing changes, Purist decided it would be better to have a US internet presence that didn't compete directly with traditional high end audio stores. I was in Sweden last year, covering the audio show for Audiogon when this decision was made.

Jim Aud and I have been friends for twenty years and my own system has been Purist ever since I first tested it against (my then) Audioquest, Kimber and MIT cables. This just sort of evolved by accident.

I was already selling my Porter Port outlets, so we decided I would tackle the job with Audiogon being the exclusive world wide source.

As for performance, Opis has a slightly darker tonal balance than Venustas, with dynamics between Venustas and Dominus. Venustas is Copper and Silver with Ferox, Opis is Copper and Gold with Ferox.

Pay shipping to try Opis interconnect or speaker cables without obligation. No fees, regardless if you buy or not.

Yea, I have an ad running for Purist Opis, a line that is exclusive to Audiogon. I started offering specially treated AC outlets to members due to experiments with my own system and it kind of grew from there.

I'm still an audiophile first and foremost and as stated, I've had Purist in my system for 19 years, the Opis gig came up just last year.

I appreciate your offer, that would be great :^). As for Nirvana cables, I have never seen or heard them.

I have Purist everywhere in my system, been my standard for nineteen years. Every time there is an offer to try other brands I give it a go. In the end the Purist always remains.

I know, I've been to Europe many times. I had to tease Mattheus and Lexodrome.

My web browser must be on the blink

I can't read that last post :^).

albertporter

Is the system in Belgium or is that just your name for it?
