Description

This is my primary system in my basement. The wiring has been upgraded to 2 isolated 20 amp circuits with dedicated grounds. I had a problem with the Jadis blowing internal fuses. Had a technician finally discover a bad solder joint. Aside from that, the unit sounds great. I have swapped out the tubes to new Genelex Gold Lions and the 12ax7's to a NOS pair of Telefunkens. Soundstage improved and highs seem cleaner and higher.

Added a Valab NOS dac with USB input to Mac Mini via USB. Sounds really nice. I'd like to hear a nice old pair of Klipsch horn speakers on this system.

Check my system pics Matt - I installed some diffusors from Acoustic Sounds (pretty inexpensive) and did miracles in my room. I will check the Mazda's tubes ASAP...

Hi - I also bought a matche quad of quite expensive Genelec KT88 tubes and the change in my DA50S was dramatic (actually I bought 6 so I have a pair as backup).

Did you try Telefunken's 12ax7's before the Mazgas?
