Hi Jason,
That's great !
For the initial room measurement i use stock TC10hz Flat
After loading the correction filters, i will then use partial room correction trying to keep it from 300hz down and use TC20hz Flat or TC25hz flat, depending where the bass rolls off. If your intial room measurement starts rolling off say around 8-10khz, you would not need to use one to the target curves that has rolloff in them. Are you using your computer when doing your measurements ?

Sorry for the delay in responding to your posts.
First, if you use a Millennium Mk3 amp and use the Tyler passive xovers, you can do room correction without any issues, with a seperate room correction preamp. The DSP in the Mk3 was something that Peter Lyngdorf had developed for it. One advantage of the Mk3, it can create its own digital filters and has a subwoofer input, if using Tact subwoofers. My Woodmere's are setup for tri-wiring and tri- amping. I would stick with the passive xover, as it actualy sounds good with room correction applied. My main issue in my room is from 100Hz down. RC takes care of that.
The Millennium Mk3 amp sounds more like a tube amp since when developed, they could not remove all the harmonics from the amp. This gives the amp a warmer sound vs the 2150 amp. Its just a preference in what sound you prefer. Hearing both of the amps, i think the Millennium is the better sounding amp, but you can get the 2150 amps to sound slighlty warmer by rolling off the target curve with room correction. I just found a pratically new Millennium Mk2 amp that i am going to use on the bass and the Mk3 on the M/T/M using the Tyler xover. I tried doing it active on the bass with the 2150xdm and passive for the M/T/M and i could not get the system to sound seemless as with the passive xover. The majority of TACT users do not use Auto room correction but use their computers to do it manually. This gives you more control of the room correction unit if creating your target curve. I found that TC QS20i works on my system vs creating my own TC. The amps also sound better using a Tact preamp vs plugging the digital source into the amps. I use the Squeezebox Touch that supports 24/96. Also the amps should be set all the time so their output is 96Khz. This is their default setting. Hearing a 24/96khz DVD audio being played thru the Tact system outputting 24/96Khz,easily outperforms conventional Cd's by a good margin, but Cd's sound better listening thru the Tact when they are outputting 96Khz. Tact amps also can play down into a 2 ohm load and have good reserve power. They are not the typical class D amps found in subwoofers.
10 in woofers is about the max i would use with Tact amps.
The Seas drivers also have good extended freq response extension and may be another reason the Tact components sound very good with Tyler speakers with their passive xovers since they are 12db per octave, giving good overlap at their xover freq's.

Hi Reverendo,
Sorry for not seeing your post.
Is it possible to use room correction with a Mk3 ? Yes but would require a separate RC unit like a 2.2x or xp etc.
The room correction system in the Mk3 is really dated and is more manual aka a equalizer. As far as problems with digital amps, Tact amps drive the speakers with a powered Dac,where other digital amps do not use this type of technology. All you need is a transport or music server to connect to the amp and your set to go. I have been using my amp since 2000 and have not looked back after using Audio Research, Pass, Krell etc. No amp i have used could compare with the openeness and bass performance of Tact digtial amps
If you would want to try a one box system and save money, i put my S2150XDM up for sale today that would fit your requirements plus having Tact's current room correction system that can be used in Auto mode or manual mode. The amp has also been upgraded by Maui Mods the leader in Tact Audio upgrades and prefered by the majority of Tact users.
Email me if you are interested.
Regards,
Bill

Frank,

Thank you for your comments on my system.
My Tact gear is all digital and do not plan to use any analog sources.

As far as room correction goes, i also found nothing improved the sound like room correction does. I have traded up gear over the years and nothing ever improved the sound that is this noticeable. One quick switch to bypass mode, shows how effect it really is when its removed from the signal path.

Tyler Acoustics allowed me to contact their wood veneer supplier, so i could pick out the Ebony Maccassar veneer for my speakers. After they emailed me 3 pictures of veneer, they came across two matched sheets of veneer. With the speakers being tall, i did not want the usual straight fine lines you usually see with this wood on speakers. These have alot of different portions of the tree which i think adds more character to the look of the speakers.

ps. Frank, you should review the Lyngdorf Room Perfect ;-)
