my system is so much better than i ever dreamed when i started this journey about 30 years ago.never did i think i would be possible to achieve the sound, i currently hear, in my listening room.My amps are superb...the speakers are amazing...the network player sounds better than the SACD player that preceeded it.I have 2 Silent Source 'Music Reference' power cords.My new Silversmith 'Fidelium' speaker cables are truly amazing.The addition of the Uptown Audio 'EtheREGEN has significantly improved the sound.The addition of the Salon ethernet cable has improved the sonics.I changed my previous modem/router setup to a single Actiontec product.Have just added 2 REL 212 SE subwoofers. The addition has significantly improved the soundstage and midrange....as well as the bass.I have recently replaced the Symposium Platforms that were under my speakers..Tidal and RELs, with AV RoomServive EVP HDR isolation devices that have significantly improved the sound.Upgrading my Lumin to X1 level was a great idea.....Have replaced the Psvane WE 300B tubes with Psvane ACME 300B tubes.My 845s are Psvane WEs.Have also added a LessLoss Entropic C-MARC power cord to my Lumin X1.Have also added a LessLoss C-MARC RCA interconnect..Stay tuned..
Calloway - great system! As a First Sound preamp owner myself, may I ask if you plan to upgrade your existing FS preamp to an even loftier level with Emmanual Go or go with another brand altogether?
System edited: 10/3/05: my system continues to improve as i search for cable synergy.the addition of the cyberlight p2a and the kubala-sosna 'emotion' pcs has made a significant improvement to what was already great sound.my next step will be to upgrade my first sound preamp.stay tuned
hi, i guess that you have pursued the isoclean package... what have you compared it to ,and what are the differences? i'm seriously considering trying the package, but wanted to hear from anuone who actually has the isoclean and ha used it for a while. also, wher did you buy it from ,and are these units being discounted?
How does one find Stealth Indra i/cs? Their Home page and Products and Pricing lists do not mention them. Are they discounted at all? Are they really $5,700/meter?
System edited: having just added the full audiocom mod by richard kern that he says sounds better then the meitner combo my scd-1 is finally where i want it. i will get it back next week.my new piega c-10 ltds should be a great upgrade from my p-10s'the new stealth 'indra' interconnects are,without a doubt,the best i have ever heard.
Great to have you back Calloway and a great sounding system. Glad to hear you are so pleased with the effect. Its interesting that you don't read a lot about goldmund on AA or asylum. I suspect its scarcity has something to do with it. Do you use the rollerblocks under all your components? Where do you use the elrod power cord versus the audiotekne. Have you considered the hms powercords? You were considering some other speaker cables and interconnects? Keep spinning the tunes.
Great system, Calloway. How do you like the Audio Tekne pre-amp? Supposed to be great stuff. I've heard their speaker cables are supposed to be some of the very best. More so than their ic's. Have you heard this as well?
System edited: my changes are the result of having sold almost my entire previous system this past summer only to start over.my current system's sound is 40% better then what i thought was unbeatable.my only other big move will be to trade in the piega p-10s' for the new,and much better, piega c-10 ltds.keep tuned
