I just saw your post on my system page RE: Audio Excellence - apologies for not getting back to you.

Well, AE used to be a great audio store, but their focus is now more on A/V systems and their installations

They are not quite so "friendly" as Mike at Audio Eden and it takes some persuasion to get them to setup specific components to audition.

They try very hard to sell you something at each visit - so I've stopped going there unless I know they will have something of interest

I think I've only purchased a sub woofer from them way back in time - the rest of the time it was bulk Van den Hul and Furutech Cable and RCA's.

I would give them a call - if they know you are looking at Wilson's they will get interested.

The do carry some nice audio gear, but not really the stuff that peaks my interest.

Looking at your system I would say American Sound of Canada - Yonge
and Stoufville Side Rd in Richmond Hill ( Aka Angies Audio Corner) might be a better fit, but they do not carry Wilson.

They are big Focal and Sonus Faber dealers and carry lots of other brands

I've listened to both the big Focal and Sonus Faber and was basically underwhelmed - which was not good for a $100k speaker - they were in their own room, but perhaps the setup was a little off

But the best speakers I have heard there were a pair of Avantgarde Duo Horns - perhaps the most life-like speakers I've heard to date and their room & location was less than perfect, so that impressed me even more.

They seemed to have a huge sweet spot, were very detailed, had extremely fast dynamics and were completely transparent. If they had been a little less expensive I might have taken them.

Their sweet spot reminded me of a huge pair of Magnapans - with much more details and with more air and bass.

I would like to hear them in my new listening space - still thinking about it :-)

BTW - very nice TT/Arm combo - did you get the KLE Innovations RCA's?
