So, this isn't the typical Revel Studio system with massive solid state amplification. This is a state of the art tube amplified system with a pair of the best monoblocks and possibly the best line stage made. I simply love it.
The cabling is all discovery and audience, which was recommended to me, and I really love. Its a really great value, as I'm a cable believer, but really reluctant to purchase the mega $$$ cables.
Same with the source, my new modded Denon 2900 is wonderful. It gives me access to all current standards and it really sounds great. Once the format wars end, I'll get something really great. The one downside is the need for a tv to configure it correctly.
The rack. I know there are lots of voices and choices. The sistrum is amazing. I love it. It actually improves the sound, and it looks great. My fiance doesn't agree, but, hey, beauty is the eye of the beholder.
Get the exact power system if you need a decent, not so expensive power solution. Small, silent, powerful, and a great improvement to the AC signal feeding my system.
Nice system. If you like the Sistrum Rack, then I think you'll also like the Sistrum Speaker Platforms. I don't have the rack, but I do have the platforms, and they really make a difference in the sound. Way more than I thought they would. I'll probably get a rack in the near future. You'll be surprised at the improvements when you try the speaker platforms. They will remove colorations that you didn't even realize were there, or thought were "inherent" in the speaker. Also, you will get an extra db or two in efficiency. I think they work great. Best speaker tweak that I know about.
