Description

I have been designing this media room and waiting for years to finally build my custom home with this room. I am a General and Electrical Contractor and did everything in this room personally, from electric to paint. The room has amazed all that have seen and heard it, including, of course, myself. A dream room that finally came true. The equipment is on custom drawers that allow for easy change of tubes, etc. The closet behind the equipment has all the wiring from the audio and video equipment. The 100A panel and TV/Telephone main panel is in that room as well.We are including displays of Lord of the Rings, our favorite movies, and Mardi Gras, which we attended in 2004. The back of the room has a wet bar with Unibroue medallions, our favorite beer, and a jazz rug covering the windows required by the building code. The Japanese piece above the center channel is 20+ years old from my Grand Aunt. The grey theater seating is from a closing theater in Duluth, MN and raised 8" above the floor for viewing. The room is 15.5' x 33' with 2x6 walls and soundproof insulation. The doors are exterior-air tight-insulated for soundproofing. The infinite baffle in-floor subs simply cannot be beat for theater, vibration and sound quality all in one, outstanding.

You might want to consider some carpet for the wood flooring. Your getting alot of early reflections off the floor.
