    @maxdukecapone : thank you.

In my Esoteric N-01XD I keep it simple:

    ORG (no upconversion)
Output Gain: Full (I have an Integrated Amp this is hooked up to)
    No volume adjustment
M1 for delta/sigma modulation (this is the default Esoteric mode)

    Very nice setup!
Question for someone who has Esoteric DAC experience.
What settings did you gravitate towards for the PCM settings?

I see some early discussions but not recent ones.

Beautiful system. Result obviously of a lot of thought and care.

If you have a chance to listen to it, curious what your opinion is of TEAC UD-701N, which is a budget version of the Esoteric N-05XD.

The Esoteric XD series are completely different than all previous DAC implementations. Totally different concept and architecture

    thyname

That's good to know. My only experience with Esoteric gear has been with older model DACs, transports, and CD players. Back then, the "Esoteric house sound" was tipped up and on the bright and hyper detailed side of things.

    Hi Jeff @yoby :

I obviously thought about it. At that time the logical choice to match my T+A integrated amp would be the HV series DACs, SD or SDV. Too expensive. I have tried many DACs over the years, including the Esoteric N-01XD which I now have for almost three years now. I love it, and honestly I have lost the desire to try other DACs. It’s that good

Hi thyname: I'm just curious why you're not using a T+A  DAC/steamer instead of the Esoteric. That system is to die for. Thank you for all of the helpful posts throughout the years. Good listening. Jeff

How are you liking the Perlisten S7ts? I’m thinking about getting a pair of the 5s, but I’m still trying to figure out if I want the Ts or Rs.

    What where you’re previous speakers?

    Thanks @mewsickbuff ! I appreciate it!

What a beautiful setup. Who wouldn't be over the moon listening to their favorite music in such a setting. Kudos to you!

Oh, boy.......just when I thought I had something good going on........wow!

What a well thought out room. Great use of space . I tip my hat to you sir.

@thyname, I hear you on the move to a different speaker. There are so many darn good choices and life is too short to stick around with one brand of speakers. It took me 15 years to break the B&W spell :-)  And having T+A Integrated around is a huge help, the PA 3100 HV is capable of driving most speakers out there. Enjoy!

Thanks @lalitk ! it was about time for me to change speakers around. I had the chance to demo before purchase. My pair was brand new sealed, so there is still break-in required.

@thyname, Congratulations for new speaker/subwoofer. I have not heard of S7t’s but now I’m intrigued:-)

Sorry Gary, I no longer have the MSB Discrete

    thyname

Hello fellow audiophile-great system-do you still have msb discreet dad?
I just got one here to demo and compare to my Mac 12000 integrated built in dac and my aesthetix Pandora eclipse-so far digging it-what were your thoughts on it over the long term on it?

    cheers-
    Gary

Thank you. Mostly yes. Except for the Everest which will remain with Omega XC

    Nice system here :)
Your cabling from Shunyata are quite high end.. are you switching to Zavfino in this system?

A beautiful room and system. Interesting combination with Esoteric player/transport and T+A integrated amp.

    Happy Listening!
