I wasn't implying the feet didn't work, only wondering if there was an explanation for the burn-in of the feet. I know after a change for the better my system seems to settle in and become even smoother after two weeks of play = "the sum is greater than the parts" = synergy.
Thanks for the nice words... The RB is a piece of art indeed and matches very well with my system :-)
I understand what you're saying. Becoming acquainted with the sound may be interpreted as 'burning in'.
But in my case: my ears are very sensitive to treble and I experience less or no pain in my ears now (this is since I put the Harmonix under the rack). This is a 'proof' to me that these feet 'work'.
No! But can you please stay focused on the middle print and tell me how you feel! I've always enjoyed looking at your system, choice of art and the Rolf Benz sculpture...ahh furniture. clean! clean! clean! Do you think it's possible you become more comfortable with a cleaner smoother presentation and after awhile the elimination of even finer vibrations becomes "normal" or "burned in"? I know my system either improves or degrades with each change and after I've become accustomed to changes I enjoy the new sound seems "normal" and another modification will soon become evident and so on and so on........ I have a ways to go to reach your level of refinement I hope this isn't presumptuous of me but it's where I and system are at.
Good question... if you need better cables, I would first invest in those.
If your system is 'high performer', than the feet are worth their price. I experience a more fluid sound, but believe it or not, these feet (under the rack) have to 'burn in'. Don't know how this is possible, but I can hear it: sound is more fluid and smooth, realistic after about 100 hours of playing. Am I crazy?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaa... finally someone who knows what it's all about ! Please note it are not the genuine ROR plates, but three paintings by an American artist based on them.
Mattheus, wonderful Greek name.......my son's name is Timotheus; Anyway, I was wondering what are those protectors under the spikes of you're Kharma speakers, how much are they, and where can I get them from, for mine?.......J.C......BTW.....Greaaaaaaaatttt System
One of the best systems I've seen on the Gon... oozing with class, exceptional aesthetics, clean lines, and most importantly, outstanding gear... Bravo!
You have a really gorgeous system set up there. Hope mine will look like that one day. Can I know where you got those stands/supports for the custom rack? They look wonderful, may wanna build one myself. Thanks!
System edited: RG4 mk4 monoblocs entered my system. Huge soundstage and 'heavy' sound. Very refined and detailed. A very nice step forward to... audio walhalla?
Well I just bought a Symphonic line La Musica. A few steps below the mono's or Krafts etc. But I am very happy with it. This amp is here to stay. I never imagined that my system could sound so good. I just smile when I think about it.
But I just bought a house so my new amp plans might be a long term thing... I ordered the Symphonic Line RG4mk4 mono
Mattheus, your long term plan materialised pretty quickly! Good for you. The RG4 monos are very good, btw. Quite probably among the best conventional (analogue PS) SS amps out there. You can keep these (I'm sorry I sold mine to get the class A model -- should have kept the 4s as well).
