yes, it's quite a change.. However, I am happier with the sound with Octave V80 and the bşack box, Pass was a very powerful amp however octave is more detailed, open and fast. Pass was only just a little better with the bass. Other than that valves are more aromatic and sweet . I recommend Octaves with no hesitation.

You might not need pass x350.5 with sophias however ıf you listen in higher volumes the pass x350 will remain class a more than x250.5.. ayre cx-7 is a very goodcd player up to 3000usd however ı am planning to upgrade it with reimyo. by the way I shoul admit that sophia 2 is a very very excellent speaker
hi Aporigine thanks for your comment .. I am using acrolink an 2070 full copper xlr interconnects between pre and power and cd and pre.. happy with them speaker cables need to be upgraded vdh scs-6 was ın my previous system actually it is a good speaker cable, planning to upgrade, no choices yet
I also want to improve cd player as you said .. p8 dcs is a good choice.. I know the product and really liked..my other favorites are reimyo cdp-777 accuphase dp-500 accustic arts transport DAC.
In the near future preamp can be aupgrade with passlabs x1 or x0.2 regards cem
