Critical Mass Systems Center Stage CM2,2M in both the 1.0 & 1.5 size footers. Total of 6 sets being used.
I now have 6 sets under my equipment and boy are they impressive.
Entreq Silver Tellus
Silver Tellus used om my digital. Plus a DIY large box used on analog and two smaller DIY boxes used on each speaker.
EtherRegen Uptone Audio
AfterDark Queen Clock and Linear power supply
Combo
WireWorld Platinum 8 Ethernet
I didn't think an ethernet cable would improve the sound much, but with cable connected to my Ether Regen input from my modem even though I am sending the output via fiber to my Lumin X1, increased the sound quality presence. Quite impressive.
System edited: Just added the new Synergistic PowerCell 10 SE with the Precision Reference power cord. I also placed a Teslaplex outlet in the one wall outlet and another in my homemade extension quad box.
Nice system, Ozzy. How do you like the new XP-10? What did it replace? I have a Pass-based system and am thinking of replacing my X-1 preamp with either the XP-10 or XP-20 to mate with my new XA100.5 amps. Thanks. Peter
Hi Ozzy it appears that you are having fun. Here's a thought for you, replace the Pass amp with the "CAT" Stereo Sig. amp. I had this hooked-up to my Andra's just unbelievable, the mid-range, highs and three "D" imaging was breathless. The bass was even better than my Pass X600.5's go figure, just so much more realistic. If I had the Andra's currently the "CAT" amp would be a no brainer and would be mated up with them for sure. I was shocked with the experience, the "CAT" was the best amp by far that I had hooked-up with them and had no issues driving them nor running out of juice. The "CAT" amp actually produced even less heat over all than both of my Pass amps combined.
Ozzy, are you still running your Cd player directly to your amps? Just curious if you've decided on using a preamp yet as you were experimenting with some.
Ozzy, yes I am enjoying the 600.5's. Regarding the pics, they were just showing the Andra's on the Sistrum's (SP1's not SP101's) I had already deleated them but I will re-shoot and send to you.
I would recomend you speak to Robert of Sistrum but I would say your amp but he might recommend other than this.
Ozzy I have the PASS X-600.5's hooked-up now in my system and really enjoying them, I have to say they out perform the Mac's in every area. This is the first, other amps I have tried I would prefer them in one area over the Mac's and possibly two but not over all and I would end up keeping the Mac's until now. So now I have the bug and I want to try the XA-160.5's along with my original short list consisting of the CAT and LAMM. Once I sell my Mac's I'll get one of the three to compare.
Hi Ozzy, your system is looking great. It is going to be interesting I just bought a pair of Pass X 600.5's. I heard a pair of X 350.5's along with McIntosh 501's in the the same system at a dealers hooked-up to Swan speakers, I preferred the Pass over the Mac's. The pre used was a Hovland 200, I will say that I defiantly do prefer my current system's set-up over the one I heard but what I heard intrigued me enough to buy a pair of X 600.5's to try.
Thanks for the kind words. The original pictures came out pretty dark so I had to lighten them up considerable. By doing that the resolution became pretty grainy. Oh well, I am not a photographer.
